 Self-Circulation Directions

Directions for setting up independent student self-cicrulation stations in the library media center.

Setting up a Self-Circulation Station

  • Ensure that you have an extra desktop computer or two to use for one or two self-circulation stations.
  • If you are in need of extra scanners, please use the scanner quote to purchase additional scanners.
  • Set up the computers in areas that will be conducive to students checking out materials independently that do not block the collection and allows space for students to check out by themselves.
  • Sign into the computer using the Kiosk User log in. This log in should not be shared with other teachers in the building or tech liasons (if you are not the liaison). This log in was created for Library Media Specialists for use with self-circulation stations.
  • Once signed in, you will only have the option to open Destiny Library Manager or LibraryTrac. Select and open Destiny Library Manager.
  • Switch to Destiny Classic if you are not automatically redirected using the hamburger menu in the upper left hand corner or Destiny Discover.
  • Sign into the computer using the Self-Circulation  credentials:
    • Username: circ#### (4-digit school number) Password: circ
