Destiny works best when barcodes for Patrons and Copies/Items are scanned directly in, removing the chance of mistyping a barcode.

If no scanner is available, the Destiny Back Office app can also be used to scan materials in Destiny.

There are two approved scanners for use in BCPS.

This scanner can be ordered from CDW.  This quote shows two options, with and without a stand.  The stand is recommended for Library use.  All other users should order without the stand.

This scanner operates via a trigger to initiate scanning when in handheld mode.  When in the stand, it will automatically scan anything placed in the field of scanning.
